Alison Berthet

Preview

Alison supports companies in embedding respect for human rights across their organizations and value chain. She brings a strong, collaborative spirit and expertise in developing and implementing strategies and governance, due diligence, and engagement mechanisms to effectively manage human rights risks. 

Alison joined BSR from BT Group plc, a BSR member company, where she led the development of a new human rights strategy geared at ensuring a responsible approach to how the organization buys, sells, develops, and uses technology. Highlights included setting up a new steering group, engaging key internal stakeholders through innovative workshops, and integrating human rights risks in BT’s group risk management framework. Before that, Alison trained and practiced as a corporate lawyer at the global law firm Hogan Lovells, specializing in international arbitration and business and human rights disputes. Her experience included advising a European energy company and its executives against a potential criminal prosecution for complicit liability in war crimes committed by a state military.

Alison holds a LLM in Public International Law and a BSc in International Relations and History from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Alison is fluent in English and French.

Beatriz Osorio Marugán

Beatriz is part of the nature and climate change teams, aiming at strengthening and developing BSR’s nature offering as well as tapping into the interconnectedness between these two areas and crafting solutions that uplift members’ climate and nature commitments and their overall impact.

Prior to joining BSR, Beatriz was the Consulting Director and Board Member at the Paris branch of a global social impact student consultancy, where she managed a range of missions, especially within the education, consumer, and financial sectors. She also worked for over two years as a public sector consultant at EY Madrid, where she mostly assisted public bodies in project definition, strategy, and implementation under the European Regional Development Fund scheme, participating in a wide array of projects focusing on social inclusion, the circular economy, green mobility, and smart cities.  

Beatriz holds a MS in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris, a MS in Management Consulting from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a BSc in International Management and Modern Languages (IMML) from the University of Bath. She speaks Spanish, English, and French.

Kelly Metcalf

Preview

Kelly works with BSR member companies to develop sustainability strategies, assess human rights impacts, and engage rightsholders. Her areas of expertise include modern slavery and anti-human trafficking and the rights of workers and communities in the energy transition. Kelly works with companies across industries, including renewable energy and extractives and consumer products.

Prior to joining BSR, Kelly worked as a consultant on various human rights projects, including issues of modern slavery and labor rights in global supply chains. Kelly has also worked extensively on women’s rights, including two years leading a women’s economic empowerment program in Surkhet, Nepal and four years working with the United Nations Foundation on international reproductive health and rights.

Kelly holds an MA in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University.

Paloma Muñoz Quick

Paloma leads BSR’s work on Human Rights Standards, including standard-setting, knowledge management, and helping companies respond to emerging standards and regulation. She is also Senior Advisor to BSR’s Finance & Human Rights Practice.

Prior to joining BSR, Paloma was Advisor to the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights and Senior Consultant of the UN B-Tech Project, where she developed a vision for promoting the uptake of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights among investors and guidance on responsible investment in digital technologies. Prior to the UN, Paloma launched and led the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, where she developed thought leadership on the investor responsibility to respect human rights and supported stewardship engagements across industries. She also worked at the Danish Institute for Human Rights advising companies, governments, and civil society on business and human rights.

Paloma is a member of the US government’s Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct. She sits on the Editorial Board of Developments in the Field of the Business and Human Rights Journal of Cambridge University.

She holds a Master of International Affairs (M.I.A.) in Human Rights from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science, also from Columbia University. 

Paloma is Chilean-American and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Paul Holdredge

Preview

Paul leads BSR’s Industrials and Transport and Logistics practices, helping companies to align innovative sustainability practices with business strategy and operations. Paul works with leaders in the manufacturing, automotive, freight, and aviation industries to put sustainability strategy into action.

Paul has over 25 years of industry experience in engineering and sustainability leadership roles. He has deep experience in product development, greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, sustainability reporting, and sustainability strategy. Previously, he founded an independent consultancy helping mid-size industrials get started on their sustainability journey.

Paul holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a MBA from Marquette University.

Alexandra Kolev

Preview

Alexandra supports BSR’s Collaborative Initiatives portfolio, facilitating the development and implementation of impactful multi-stakeholder solutions that tackle systemic challenges to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate change, economic inequity, and gender inequality. She works across industries, largely within agricultural commodities and consumer products, to drive collective action for supply chain sustainability, responsible sourcing, and ethical trade.

Prior to joining BSR, Alexandra developed global partnerships to foster business transformation, promote responsible business conduct, and scale business action to accelerate progress on the SDGs. Alexandra began her career analyzing trade policy and coordinating international trade and supply chain projects for a global, multi-sector clientele.

Alexandra holds a Master’s in International Public Management, with specializations in Global Economic Policy and Diplomacy, from l’Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in International Affairs and French from the George Washington University. She speaks English, French, and German.

Taylor Hannegan

Taylor supports BSR member companies across industries with a primary focus on human rights and sustainability management.

Prior to joining BSR, Taylor worked as an associate attorney for a boutique firm in Denver, dealing primarily with international trade issues. He also worked for The Code, an NGO based in Thailand, where he worked with tourism companies around the world to prevent sexual exploitation of children. Additionally, he is a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project.

Taylor holds a J.D. with a certificate in International Law from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, as well as certificates in Public and Private International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law and a B.A. in Political Science from St. Olaf College.

Victoria Woolner

Victoria is a part of BSR’s nature team, where she helps companies understand their impacts and risks related to Nature and develop ambitious strategies and solutions to mitigate their impacts. She supports this work across various industries, including consumer products and food, beverage, and agriculture.  

Prior to joining BSR, Victoria worked at the World Cocoa Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with companies and stakeholders throughout the cocoa supply chain to collaborate and promote a sustainable cocoa sector. While there, she managed industry sustainability initiatives that focused on engaging companies around shared targets for smallholder cocoa farmers in West Africa and Brazil to improve farmer livelihoods, empower communities, and protect the environment.

During her undergraduate studies, Victoria participated in a sustainable development direct research program in Costa Rica with the School for Field Studies. She holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Saint Michael’s College, with minors in Sociology and History.

Ashley Lin

Preview

Ashley serves as a manager on BSR’s Inclusive Business team.

She drives partnerships and collaborative engagements with philanthropic organizations including foundations and nonprofits to harness business influence to achieve a more just and sustainable world, with a focus on advancing gender equity. She also supports businesses in building inclusive organizations and navigating emerging trends/flashpoints through direct engagement.

Ashley also supports BSR’s industry teams with sustainability management, particularly in the food, beverage, and agriculture sectors.

Prior to joining BSR, Ashley worked primarily in agriculture and distribution, food service management and hospitality, where she developed programs creating sustainable food systems and addressed food insecurity and basic needs access.

Ashley holds a M.P.S. in Sustainable Development and a B.S. in Environmental Law and Policy from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in association with Syracuse University, along with a Certificate of Advanced Studies of Sustainable Enterprise from Syracuse University.

Christine Diamente

Christine leads BSR’s Business Transformation team, helping companies to manage sustainability throughout their business and across their supply chains and to develop resilient business strategies that leverage insights from BSR’s Sustainable Futures Lab.

She works with companies across sectors and geographies to structure a sustainability management approach that mitigates risk and captures emerging opportunities, creating strategic advantage for their businesses, while contributing to a more just, sustainable world. Christine also co-leads engagement with boards of directors to promote effective board governance and leadership ambition on sustainability. 

She brings over 20 years of experience in leading brand, sustainability, public affairs, communications, and reputation management with multinational corporations at the executive leadership level. This also includes overseeing corporate relations with external stakeholders, such as the World Economic Forum, the UN, European institutions, and investors.

Previously, Christine was Head of Brand Strategy at Nokia. She has also held major roles at Alcatel-Lucent and Alcatel, leading Brand and Corporate Sustainability and European Affairs. Christine has also served on various boards, including as a chair of the Telecoms Industry Dialogue on human rights, as an advisory board member of Reuters Events Sustainability, as a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation, and on the European Internet Foundation.

Christine holds a MA in History and a BA in History and International Politics from the University of Ottawa. She completed the Management Acceleration Program (MAP) at INSEAD, and she achieved the ESG Competent Boards Certificate and Global Competent Boards Designation (2021). She speaks English, French, Spanish, and Italian.
