Adam Fishman

Preview

Adam works with BSR member companies across industries on sustainability management, including stakeholder engagement, materiality, strategy and reporting, among other topics.

Prior to BSR, Adam was a thematic expert on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the International Institute for Sustainable Development, focusing on the linkages between climate, development, business, and sustainable consumption and production. He previously worked on the SDGs team at World Resources Institute. During his graduate studies, Adam interned at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and was a Coca-Cola World Fund fellow with Conservation International, researching the strategic connections between the SDGs and corporate sustainability.

Adam holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment, specializing in Business and the Environment. He has a BA in Environmental Studies and Government, with a concentration in International Politics, from Wesleyan University.

Isadora Loreto

Preview

Isadora leads the RISE Respect - Tackling Gender Based Violence and Harassment program, which focuses on preventing and remediating gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in the garment industry.

Isadora was a manager at HERproject, where she led the HERrespect pillar globally and HERproject operations in Bangladesh, Cambodia, and India. She was originally based in BSR’s Hong Kong office when she started at HERproject in 2018. Prior to joining BSR, Isadora worked at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)’s Bangkok office, where she was part of the gender and social inclusion division. In this role, she focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment policies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Isadora holds a Master’s Degree in International Law and Economics, with a focus on International Development and Humanitarian Action, from the Institut d'Etudes Humanitaires - Université Paul Cézanne Aix Marseille III. She is a native French speaker and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Laura Hansson

Preview

Laura supports BSR’s Business Transformation work across industries. She has also worked on several of BSR’s multistakeholder collaborations, including the Global Impact Sourcing Coalition and Maritime Anti-Corruption Network.

Prior to joining BSR, Laura was the director of the Copenhagen branch of a global social impact consultancy advising startup companies and social enterprises on fundraising and communications strategies as well as social impact creation and measurement. She also held an internship position at a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the rights of women journalists. Laura speaks German, English, and Spanish.

Laura holds an M.Sc. in Business and Development Studies with a Minor in Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship and a B.Sc. in Business, Language, and Culture, both from Copenhagen Business School.

Alexander Wood

Alexander manages BSR’s IT infrastructure, primarily focusing on technology advancement projects to increase both efficiency and security throughout all of our systems.

He also works directly with technology vendors to ensure our staff requests are serviced quickly and efficiently.

Prior to joining BSR, Alexander worked in multiple technology and operations roles, including service desk, IT engineering, and learning and development. He was also a small business owner and operations lead. His career in technology started in 2010 in the private banking sector, where his passion for security compliance and automation sparked.

Alexander holds a B.A in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of California, San Francisco.

Ella Moffat

Ella manages RISE's Financial Health program in global supply chains, working closely with partners Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, The Walt Disney Company, and GIZ. RISE Financial Health supports low-income workers, especially women, to access, use, and benefit from their payroll accounts and build their financial capability in order to increase their financial health and economic empowerment, while also increasing efficiency and transparency in global supply chains.

Before joining BSR, Ella was partnership manager on CARE International UK’s private-sector engagement team, working closely with companies including Barclays, Mondelez International, and GSK to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and deliver business and social impact, with a focus on women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion. Ella also spent three years as a VSO fundraising advisor in India working for grassroots disability and rural development organizations. 

Ella holds a Master’s in Development Studies from Birkbeck, University of London.

Viktoriya Kim

Viktoriya is responsible for all areas relating to revenue recognition and some parts of revenue reporting. In addition, she oversees the Accounts Receivable and Project Accounting functions and develops and maintains practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely collections.

Viktoriya has extensive accounting and project accounting experience in the consumer goods, advertising, brand consulting, and medical industries.

Prior to joining BSR, she worked in different accounting roles at LG Electronics; North East Medical Services (NEMS), one of the largest nonprofit community health centers in the United States; and most recently at Landor, a brand consulting firm and global leader in brand consulting and design. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.

Viktoriya holds a B.A. in International Relations from St. Petersburg Institute for International Economic Relations, Economics, and Law.

Laura Donnelly

Laura leads BSR’s Nature team. Her focus is working with member companies to develop holistic and credible strategic approaches to address nature related impacts and dependencies. These engagements are conducted across industries, with an additional focus on understanding the linkages between nature and other areas of focus (e.g., human rights, climate, etc.).

Prior to joining BSR, Laura spent seven years on the markets transformation team at the Rainforest Alliance. Her role focused on engaging companies throughout agriculture supply chains in addressing risks and opportunities through incorporating nature-based solutions and interventions. This included working with companies from farm to market on their sustainability strategy utilizing the Rainforest Alliance program. Laura also has experience in the beauty industry, where she worked in brand management and marketing.

Laura holds a Master of Communication Management from the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Administration from Boston University.

Ogi Kanaya

With deep experience as researcher and consultant, Ogi advises companies in Japan on a range of sustainability topics to promote business practices that are aligned with global and forward-looking perspectives. Within her business transformation advisory work, she focuses on materiality analysis, sustainability strategy development, and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining BSR, Ogi worked for a research consultancy for 20 years. She focused on a wide range of environmental issue areas, including climate change, circular economy, disclosure, and communications to governments and the private sector.

She holds an M.A. in Policy Science from Doshisha University Graduate School of Policy and Management.

Giulio Berruti

Giulio brings over 15 years of expertise in advancing corporate climate and nature work. A member of BSR’s leadership team, he leads the Climate & Nature team strategy and works with BSR members across advisory services, collaborative initiatives, and grants implementation.

Giulio oversees BSR’s work on the future of climate action in an evolving landscape​, the application of Futures and Foresight work to Climate & Nature topics, and new business models that create business value while advancing people and planet goals. Since joining BSR in 2018, he has focused on targets, strategies, and transition plans; climate risk and adaptation; value chains, including Scope 3 implementation through supplier engagement; business model transformation; and nature-based solutions strategies with social integrity.

He brings deep knowledge of the climate and nature ecosystem and landscape, having supported the development of the first SBTi Net Zero Standard as a member of the Expert Advisory Group. He also led and supported the development of widely used open-source guidance, such as the 1.5°C Supplier Engagement Guide, Transform to Net Zero, and Climate Fit.

Prior to joining BSR, Giulio spent seven years with EcoAct between France and Kenya, focusing on climate advisory work on GHG mitigation, target setting and climate strategies, climate risk assessments, and carbon offset project development.

Giulio holds an MS in Sustainability from HEC Paris School of Management. He also holds a double degree MS in Management and Industrial Engineering and a double degree BS in Technology and International Business from Politecnico di Torino and UIC Barcelona.

Adam Werbach

Adam Werbach is a lifelong sustainability advocate working at the intersection of technology, business, and politics.

Elected at age 23 as the national president of the Sierra Club, Werbach was instrumental in the fights to create Death Valley and Joshua Tree National Parks and the now threatened Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument. He left the Sierra Club to start the technology and strategy company Act Now Productions, which was best known for helping Walmart launch its sustainability efforts. Werbach sold Act Now to the Publicis Groupe in 2008 and became the global CEO for Saatchi & Saatchi S, where he helped launch products from the Toyota Prius to wind turbines.

He later co-founded the venture-backed online re-use platform Trove (formerly Yerdle), which powers the re-use programs for companies including Patagonia, REI, and Eileen Fisher. His most recent book, “Strategy for Sustainability,” was published by Harvard Business Press and is taught in leading business schools. Werbach recently co-founded Win The Future (WTF) with Silicon Valley leaders Mark Pincus and Reid Hoffman to bring the voice of young people into the political system.
