Now in its thirteenth year, the annual United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights brings together governments, business, and civil society actors to address trends and challenges in advancing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). The Forum is a major moment where business can share common challenges and best practices related to respect for human rights and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to better understand human rights risks and impacts, as well as how to proactively address them.

Kindra Mohr

Associate Director, Financial Services and Human Rights, BSR

Bringing her expertise as a business and human rights attorney, Kindra leads BSR's work at the intersection of finance and human rights.

Kindra has nearly 15 years of experience in advancing human rights, social and environmental sustainability, and access to remedy within the financial sector. She advises financial institutions and their corporate clients and investees on innovative solutions to prevent and address human rights risks and impacts on the ground, including through stakeholder engagement and the development of grievance mechanisms.

Previously, Kindra consulted for the International Finance Corporation and worked with clients at PwC to integrate best practices into their corporate governance frameworks. She also worked for the US Senate and served for five years as the Policy Director for a global nonprofit, advocating with communities for environmental and social protections and access to remedy in international finance. In addition, Kindra has lived and worked for nonprofits in Argentina, Haiti, and Peru on access to justice and corporate accountability.

Kindra obtained her law degree at Boston College and holds a MA in International Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jenna Kowalevsky

Manager, Energy, Extractives, Industrials, and Transport, BSR

Jenna brings 20 years of experience working in human rights, sustainability, and stakeholder relations at global companies to her work with BSR member companies.

She works closely with companies as an expert on human rights and just transition, including focusing on the energy sector’s transition to net zero. She previously managed BSR’s Just Transition Collaborative Initiative.

Prior to joining BSR, Jenna held several senior roles at global organizations. She advised Suncor Energy on integrating sustainability into business processes, ensuring projects managed social and environmental impacts and risks, and led their human rights activities. While at Repsol, she developed and implemented a global community relations, Indigenous Peoples and human rights approach, and supporting management system. Jenna held multiple roles at Talisman Energy, where she led the global ethics program, implemented a supplier code of conduct and risk assessment process, analyzed company-wide safety and environmental performance, and conducted land consultation and stakeholder engagement. Jenna also held a key role at Interpol, guiding the organization on its strategic direction and was instrumental in developing its new organizational strategy.

Jenna holds an MBA and a Graduate Diploma in Social Performance Management from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Calgary.

Richard Wingfield

Director, Technology Sectors, BSR

Richard works with tech companies—particularly those based in or with operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—to build human rights considerations and practices into their products, services, and policies. He brings a strong understanding of international human rights law and standards and how to translate the corporate responsibility to respect human rights into practice for companies of different sizes and sectors.

Prior to joining BSR, Richard led the legal and policy team at Global Partners Digital, an international human rights organization focused on the impacts of digital technologies on human rights. He is also a trustee of the Kaleidoscope Trust, a UK-based charity that campaigns for the human rights of LGBTIQ+ people in countries where they are discriminated.

Richard holds a LLB in Law and European Law from the University of Nottingham and is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
