New Wireless and Sustainability Report Reveals Big Cost Savings and Efficiencies for Transportation, Energy, Agriculture, and Government Sectors

An emerging wireless-enabled environment has the potential to drive billions of dollars in energy savings and reshape how American industry, agriculture, and the public sector approach sustainability, according to a report authored by BSR that was sponsored and released today by CTIA-The Wireless Association. In one example cited in the report, wireless-enabled, fleet-management solutions would allow trucking and logistics companies to cut carbon-dioxide emissions by 36 million metric tons annually—the equivalent of removing 6 million passenger vehicles from U.S. roads.

Christine Bader Joins BSR as Human Rights Advisor

San Francisco—October 4, 2011—BSR is expanding its human rights practice with the addition of a new advisor: Christine Bader, nonresident senior fellow at Duke University’s Kenan Institute for Ethics and former advisor to the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative for business and human rights.
