Samone Nigam

Samone works with actors across the AI value chain—including technology developers and deployers—on designing, implementing, and assessing the effectiveness of responsible AI practices. She also performs targeted assessments on the downstream impacts of AI, focusing on affected communities such as workers, healthcare professionals, patients, public benefits recipients, and human rights defenders.​

Samone works with BSR member companies in human rights and technology, with a focus on the impact of technologies on marginalized communities.

Prior to joining BSR, Samone conducted research for a variety of agencies including the World Wide Web Foundation, UN Women, and the Office of the NYC Public Advocate. Her research takes a social justice focus informed by her experience in the nonprofit sector working directly with underrepresented populations like the LGBTQI+ community, immigrants and asylum seekers, sex workers, survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, and people seeking safe abortion.​

Samone holds a master’s degree in human rights from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in community studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Claudio Formisano

Preview

Claudio leads BSR’s portfolio on addressing modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labor. He develops guidance for companies seeking to prevent and mitigate human trafficking and forced labor risks and advances policies to scale impact through BSR’s collaborative initiatives like Tech Against Trafficking, the Global Business Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and Building Responsibly.

He brings almost two decades of years of experience in managing multidisciplinary programs on criminal justice, human rights, and security in multilateral settings. Prior to joining BSR, he worked at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), establishing and leading the Secretariat of the UN Inter-Agency Coordination Group Against Trafficking in Persons (ICAT). As a senior advisor to the Special Representative for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), he oversaw country needs assessments in North America, Europe, Asia, and North Africa.

Claudio holds a MA in Advanced International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Austria and an Executive Certificate from Harvard JFK School of Government in building and leading diverse organizations. He speaks English, French, Spanish, and Italian.

Mollie Ring

Mollie is BSR’s Social Media and Digital Manager and is based out of the San Francisco office. In this role, Mollie leads the development and execution of BSR’s social media and digital strategy and supports the strategic planning of targeted marketing campaigns.

Prior to joining BSR, Mollie led her own strategic communications firm helping nonprofits and social enterprises to more effectively tell their story and scale their impact. Her areas of expertise range from entrepreneurship and social innovation to clean energy and human trafficking.

Mollie holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a BA from Vassar College in Political Science.

Nomuna Altankhuyag

As part of the Finance team, Nomuna is responsible for supporting all accounting-related tasks, including Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables. Nomuna focuses on continuous system implementations and process improvements.    

Before joining BSR, Nomuna worked in accounting at a security surveillance company that designed, manufactured, and marketed security, surveillance camera, and video surveillance systems. There, she oversaw general accounting tasks.

Nomuna holds a BA in Accounting from Mongol Institute and an AA with an emphasis in Business Economy from Wilbur Wright College.

Vera Solveig

Vera works with the Finance team and is responsible for payroll coordination, focusing on process efficiency and accuracy.

Prior to joining BSR, Vera worked in healthcare and non-profit university settings.

Anna Quinn

Anna is BSR’s Campaign Strategy and Editorial Manager and is based out of the Paris office. In this role, Anna leads the development and execution of BSR’s global editorial strategy and supports the strategic planning of targeted marketing campaigns.

Prior to joining BSR, Anna managed the global communications and PR strategy at Efma, a member-based nonprofit for the financial services industry. She has broad experience in B2B communications across sectors, including tourism, agriculture, health, and beauty.

Anna holds a Master's degree in Bilingual Communications, Culture and Media from Paris Diderot University and a BA from the University of Leeds in Music and English Literature. An international-minded sustainable advocate, Anna is fluent in both French and English.

May Wu

Preview

May applies her strategic consulting and business development experience to BSR's global operations team to support the administrative and operational needs of BSR’s Collaborative Initiatives (CIs) portfolio, as well as global operations more broadly.

Before BSR, May worked as a Director of Business Development and Management Consultant at LBL Strategies, helping with designing, selling, and facilitating various strategic consulting projects and training programs. She also worked as a project consultant, representing Georgetown University in a global consulting project to provide innovative recommendations to improve operating performance while pursuing her MBA degree. Besides that, she also helped entrepreneurs design a business model and prepared a pitch deck for their startup projects. Meanwhile, she was one of the co-founders of a social media application. May speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

May has a MBA from McDonough School of Business, focusing on non-market strategy, and two BS degrees from Binghamton University, majoring in Financial Economics and Actuarial Science.

Constance Flachaire

Constance works with BSR member companies across various industries and areas of expertise with a focus on sustainability management and financial services.

Prior to joining BSR, Constance was an associate at Green Soluce, an entrepreneurial sustainability consulting firm based in Paris. In this role, she advised real estate and private equity investment managers on their ESG policies and impact rating tools, and she led a range of events, workshops, and trainings on sustainable investment. In addition to consulting, Constance was also an auditor for the newly launched French Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) label for real estate funds. This role consisted of analyzing responsible investment policy and its implementation at the fund level against the label's specifications.

Constance holds a Master’s in Business Management from EDHEC Business School and a Certificate in Science, Technology, Business and Society Challenges of Sustainability from Copenhagen Business School.

Faraz Ansari

Faraz works with BSR’s technology member companies to prevent, manage, and report on human rights impacts across their value chains. He supports companies in conducting human rights due diligence to understand supply chain impacts, downstream end-user risks, and requirements under regulatory regimes such as the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act. Faraz has particular expertise in supporting social media platforms to operationalize rights-respecting approaches to content moderation.​

Prior to BSR, Faraz worked on digital rights campaigns as an Advocacy Fellow at Access Now. Previously, he worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Human Rights Initiative, where he researched business, human rights, and technology.​

Faraz holds an MA from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in International Law, Economic Policy, and South Asia Studies, and a BA from The Ohio State University in International Relations and Economics.

Hugh W. Brown, Jr.

Hugh Brown is the Global Head of BSR’s Financial Services practice and Head of BSR membership for the Americas, leading advisory services with private equity, banks, and multinational corporations on corporate strategy, sustainability, and long-term value creation. A member of BSR’s leadership team, Hugh strengthens executive partnerships and deepens engagement with C-suite leaders and boards through economic value creation while advancing market expansion initiatives across regions.

Hugh has 20 years of investment management experience and has worked with companies on portfolio strategy, corporate governance, operations, consumer experience, product development, and marketing using a core risk mitigation lens to drive business value. Prior to BSR, he was a senior director at Ceres, where he led portfolio value creation strategies with global institutional investors representing over $20 trillion in assets under management, shaping investor strategies on portfolio resilience and natural capital. Earlier in his career, he worked on the buy side at the $250 billion Florida State Board of Administration pension fund and Morgan Stanley, focusing on corporate governance in public companies, investment strategy, risk management, and liquidity.

Hugh is a U.S. Air Force veteran, former technology startup founder, private company and non-profit board member, and holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a BA from Florida State University.
