Last December, the Paris COP21 climate talks produced the world’s first universal and durable framework for climate and energy regulation, with:
- A long-term global goal and successive rounds of commitments to achieve it
- Medium-term national commitments from 187 countries to reduce emissions and build climate resilience
- Efforts to accelerate climate action in the short term over the next five years
On December 16, BSR presented our initial analysis of the Paris outcome, including the ambition, level of certainty, confidence, and level playing field that it establishes to enable business action.
