Many companies have made significant progress in defining their sustainability strategies, including setting priorities, establishing targets, and developing roadmaps. However, translating these strategies into effective implementation remains a persistent challenge.
While strategic priorities and commitments are often well defined, companies frequently encounter barriers when moving toward operational delivery. These barriers include limited internal buy-in, unclear governance structures, misalignment with financial decision-making processes, challenges engaging suppliers, or difficulties scaling initiatives on the ground. At the same time, companies are under growing pressure to demonstrate credible progress and measurable impact.
The Operationalizing Sustainability Roundtable offers a peer-learning environment focused on the key enablers of effective implementation. Through facilitated discussions, companies will have the opportunity to workshop their own implementation efforts and receive structured, real-time input from peers across industries, while exploring practical approaches, common trade-offs, and emerging practices that help translate corporate commitments into action.

Format
This Roundtable will meet virtually six times between June and December 2026. Participants will receive summarized insights following each session as well as a final synthesis report distilling key takeaways, implementation best practices, and practical considerations for 2027 decision making.
All convenings will be held under Chatham House Rule and in full compliance with all antitrust laws.
Opportunities range in cost, length of commitment, and scope of focus, depending on the goals of the group. Participation in these opportunities may not be included in your BSR membership, though typically MEOs may be applied.
