Our Strategy for Impact
The Sustainable Coconut Partnership unites the industry’s stakeholders to drive positive impact for farmers’ livelihoods by establishing industry-wide best practices and impact programs.
Through its action-oriented approach, the Partnership's Scope of Work will encompass 11 core projects and several thematic projects, each of which is focused on specific areas of action.
The core projects include activities that aim at developing the organization in its incubation phase while driving transparency, best practices, and impact projects in supply chains.
The thematic projects focus on key areas such as Transparency and Traceability, Low Carbon and Regenerative Agriculture, Landscape Approach, Human Rights and Living Income and Circular Economy.
Impacts: The Sustainable Coconut Partnership addresses SDGs 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, and 17.
How We Work
The Sustainable Coconut Partnership is an international, multistakeholder, voluntary membership organization, supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and BSR as Secretariat.
Our priorities are steered by a rotating group of Steering Committee members, representing participating member companies. The current Steering Committee includes AAK, Barry Callebaut, Ferrero, Nestle, and Unilever.
The Sustainable Coconut Partnership hosts an annual Roundtable Conference. Full member meetings are held quarterly, and opt-in Working Group meetings are held monthly for each Working Group. Additional informational webinars and engagement opportunities are held ad hoc.
