Lead the implementation of Pandora’s Sustainability Strategy in Indirect Procurement
Pandora has taken significant steps in recent years to strengthen its performance on sustainability throughout the business. In 2020, Pandora announced its commitment to source only recycled gold and silver for all products by 2025, and last summer we announced a new industry-leading climate change strategy that aims to reach net zero by 2040, including a 50% reduction in our greenhouse gas emissions across our operations and value chain by 2030. As of 2021, Pandora is also only sourcing lab-grown diamonds and has clear objectives to ensure it fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace.
One of the main drivers for reaching our climate, circularity and human rights goals and ambitions is to work very closely with our many suppliers within Indirect Procurement across Pandora. To this end, the company is now looking to recruit a Sustainability Manager to sit within the Indirect Procurement team at our Global Office in Copenhagen, while working in close collaboration with the Corporate Sustainability team and other relevant functions across the business.
As Sustainability Manager you will be working with the Global Indirect Procurement team to lead the implementation of Pandora’s low-carbon, circular and inclusive and fair sustainability strategy. This includes driving the implementation of greenhouse gas reduction opportunities with indirect procurement suppliers and compiling relevant supplier-related greenhouse gas and other ESG performance data. You will be working very closely with our six Global Category Managers and be supporting the implementation of Pandora’s sustainable packaging strategy in specific and driving the implementation of Pandora’s Responsible Sourcing Programme in general across the categories. Further, you will be supporting Pandora’s Human Rights Strategy by ensuring it is embedded into our Responsible Sourcing Programme and representing Pandora at key industry forums where appropriate.
Additional accountabilities include:
- Provide expert advice on sustainability related matters for supplier selection
- Provide key insights and performance from the indirect procurement perspective for inclusion in the annual Sustainability Report
- Support the development and rollout of sustainability-related training for Indirect Procurement employers and/or suppliers
- Ensure appropriate compliance and due diligence meets external stakeholders’ expectations including, but not limited to, audit bodies, standard-setting organisations, NGOs, and suppliers
- Collaborate effectively and support building strong supplier relationships to embed sustainability initiatives and drive performance
This position reports to the VP of Global Indirect Procurement in Copenhagen while liaising closely with teams throughout Pandora, notably the Corporate Sustainability team in Copenhagen.
