Pandora has taken significant steps in recent years to strengthen its performance on sustainability throughout the business including on climate and the environment. For example in 2021, Pandora adopted a new industry-leading Science-based target that aims for Pandora to reach net zero by 2040, with a 50% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain by 2030.
Pandora is now looking to drive progress across its climate and environment targets throughout its business. To this end, the company is now looking to recruit a Manager, Low-carbon and environment to sit on the Corporate Sustainability team at headquarters in Copenhagen.
The Manager will work in close collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Communications, and support teams across the business.
The main areas of responsibility are:
- Lead and oversee Pandora’s global climate strategy and implementation, including collaboration across different parts of the business (retail, distribution centers, manufacturing, offices, etc.) to identify opportunities, develop roadmaps, create partnerships where relevant, and guide implementation.
- Through the strategy, drive and oversee work to achieve Pandora’s Science-based target of reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions 50% by 2030; oversee and advise the growing global team of low-carbon specialists.
- This will include leading on and/or overseeing team members to complete activities such as:
- Climate Supplier Engagement Program: Lead the design and rollout of Pandora’s climate supplier engagement program.
- Renewable energy procurement: Lead Pandora’s renewable energy procurement strategy. Assess renewable energy options such as, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), and on-site generation.
- GHG emissions accounting: Ensure accounting methodology is in alignment with the GHG Protocol to calculate Pandora’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Ensure data robustness and process by maintaining a detailed reporting manual and tools to use for data collection and analysis.
- External assurance: Coordinate with Group Finance to conduct assurance of GHG data.
- Investor positioning: Develop Pandora’s positioning on climate matters externally with investors and other stakeholders and support Corporate Sustainability colleagues as they work on ESG reporting initiatives such as the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and CDP’s annual climate questionnaire. Be the key point of contact on climate and the environment for Investor Relations.
- Collaboration with Group Finance: When needed, support Group Finance’s collection, documentation, and verification of climate/environmental data to be used in quarterly reporting and the annual Sustainability Report.
- Carbon Neutral Product Certification for limited collections/products.
- Development of additional environmental management opportunities for Pandora: This pertains to topics such as water, waste, biodiversity, etc. and across different aspects of our business activities including retail, operations and distribution, crafting and supply, etc.
The position reports to the Director, Corporate Sustainability, in Copenhagen while liaising closely daily with teams throughout Pandora including the Sustainable Crafting and Supply team based in Bangkok, Thailand.

We believe the professionals with the following experiences and skillsets are well-suited for this role:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in an international business-to-consumer company and/or consultancy working in two or more of the following areas: climate change management, renewable energy procurement, GHG data collection, reporting and assurance, waste, water, biodiversity management, product sustainability, sustainable finance, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in managing programs and activities in the above areas.
- Strong Excel and data skills and experience working with greenhouse gas data collection, consolidation and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience working with international teams in a pragmatic, operational fashion.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships.
- Professional proficiency in English, both in understanding, speaking, and writing.
- Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders such as NGOs and international organizations.
