The editor-in-chief of the BSR blog, Julia is responsible for executing the organization's strategies for thought leadership and marketing.
As part of the organization's communications team, Julia provides advisory support to BSR staff members and teams for best practices in communications and marketing across BSR's 11 industries, six core areas of expertise, and nearly two dozen collaborative initiatives. Julia also managed BSR's social media and digital advertising strategy for nearly four years. Additionally, she has contributed to research and sustainability reports for BSR members and clients.
Before BSR, Julia worked in Cape Town, South Africa, for mothers2mothers, an NGO that employs women living with HIV as peer educators to end pediatric AIDS. Prior to that, she worked in Sierra Leone for the West Africa Fistula Foundation, a nonprofit that provides surgery, medical care, and psychosocial support to women suffering from obstetric fistulas. She speaks French.
Julia holds a B.A. in African History from Columbia University.
