It’s no secret that we are in the midst of a mental health crisis.
Employers have a unique ability to improve the mental health of 157 million working U.S. adults, who spend more time “at work” than on any other activity while awake. Indeed, this issue is rising to the forefront as the country begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to the pandemic, 1 in 10 adults reported symptoms of anxiety and/or depressive disorder; 1 out of every 5 adults reported having a mental illness. Due to the prolonged stress and isolation of the pandemic period, it is expected that many more people will find themselves newly struggling with mental health challenges.
This is particularly true of frontline and low-income workers, who have gone underserved compared to their white-collar peers, leading to major disparities in access and health outcomes. This is exacerbated even further by the disproportionate impacts of the continued COVID-19 pandemic on low-income and minority populations.
This webinar series is for anyone from an employer seeking to understand and advance mental well-being and resilience in the workplace. Join BSR’s Healthy Business Coalition and One Mind at Work to:

Participants will learn how an organizational culture that positively supports mental health is a critical element in successfully deploying programs and policies and moving the needle on the costs of mental health issues in the workplace.
Improving Access to Services for Low-Income and Frontline Workers

Network capacity, costs, geographic variability, and quality of care are all significant concerns for employers with regard to access to mental health services. But these potential gaps can be exacerbated in a workforce that has limited access to benefits, high turnover, or other common facets of low-wage positions. Participants will learn how the deployment of technology solutions and other tailored approaches can support good practice in workplace mental health for employees in low-wage or frontline positions.
