Are you going to CEBA Summit 2026? If you’re registered and planning to attend, we’d love to connect—please reach out to set up a time.

You can also join Kelly Gallo's session, How Can Companies Reduce the Environmental Impacts of AI, on May 19 from 3:30 - 5:00 pm PDT.

AI-driven growth is already contributing to rising electricity demand (for both clean and fossil fuel energy sources), water stress, land use conversion, and upstream hardware emissions, with visible impacts at local and regional levels. Electricity demand for AI data centers is expected to double by 2030 compared to 2024, likely pushing operators to rely on fossil fuels such as diesel to absorb this power influx. In parallel, AI environmental impacts are scaling faster than AI corporate governance, transparency, and infrastructure planning. As AI adoption accelerates, companies are facing strategic, operational, and reputational risks.

This session will discuss the emerging practices that companies are taking to identify and implement efforts internally and to engage with key stakeholders externally on practical mitigation tactics to reduce the environmental impacts of AI and increase clean energy use to power AI demand.
