Reports | Assessing Terminal Operator Environmental Performance
Terminal operations are a key node in the logistics and transportation value chain—at the nexus where global supply chains meet communities—and the time has come for terminal operators to align with the environmental improvement approaches adopted by global shippers and carriers.
Following findings from a 2011 report on terminal and port operations' sustainability efforts, BSR worked with a wide range of stakeholders to develop a standardized tool in English and Chinese for terminal operators to track and report their environmental performance, which can be downloaded here. This accompanying report summarizes the results of the pilot implementation of the tool, including comparative data from three terminal operators provided for their operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
