Mission

BASCS increases the scale and impact of company carbon credit purchases and other climate solutions funding, accelerating the private sector’s pivot from climate ambition to climate action. 

Our Strategy for Impact

BASCS catalyzes business investment in the climate solutions necessary to achieve global climate priorities that limit global warming to 1.5°C, accelerating an inclusive transition to a global net-zero economy by 2050. We do this by: 

• Building the capacity of BASCS participants to enhance climate investments made both inside and outside their value chain that supplement ambitious science-based emission reductions. 

• Signaling demand and mobilizing funding toward quality, high-impact climate solutions.

How We Work

BASCS is a neutral, global platform of climate solutions funders, project developers and other solution providers, and NGO partners. 

Our priorities are steered by a council representing each of our participating companies and stakeholders. 

BASCS work is focused on: 

• Building the capabilities of companies to enter the voluntary carbon market to reach global net-zero goals 

• Connecting businesses, solution providers, and other stakeholders to increase the volume, scale, and impact of business investment in climate solutions. 

• Educating companies by developing, gathering, and disseminating current research information on the latest opportunities, and best practices.
