Business Alliance to Scale Climate Solutions

Ameer leads BSR’s climate work in the US and works closely with BSR’s Technology sector companies.

Ameer helps BSR members develop strategies to implement the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and enhance business resilience through climate risk assessment using climate scenario analysis and planning. He also works with BSR member companies on developing resilient and sustainable value chains.

Ameer was previously working with BSR’s Financial Services sector companies and led the Business Alliance to Scale Climate Solutions, a BSR carbon markets collaborative initiative now known as the Beyond Alliance.

Prior to joining BSR, Ameer was the chief financial economist at Climate Advisers Trust and Orbitas, where he conducted research on climate scenario analysis and financial research for the agriculture, forestry, and other land use (AFOLU) sector and engaged institutional investors on deforestation risks in investment portfolios. Ameer also brings over a decade of capital markets experience at financial institutions like ABN Amro, Citi, and Barclays Bank.

Ameer holds a MS in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a BA in Economics and Government from College of William and Mary

Brett works with BSR member companies at the nexus of its Nature & Climate and Financial Services.

At BSR, Brett works on nature-based landscaping, peer benchmarking, and materiality assessments. In addition, he performs the duties of the secretariat for the ‘Standards and Integrity’ working group for BASCS which works on influencing the voluntary carbon market to ensure carbon credits are made with high quality and integrity. He has performed impact-based materiality assessments, written emerging issue briefs, and helped run workshops across industries on broader ESG issues.

Prior to joining BSR, Brett worked at a strategic communications consulting firm, advising companies in industries as diverse as technology, energy, food and beverage, and healthcare.

Brett holds a BS in Environmental Studies from UNC Asheville as well as a Master’s certificate in Environmental Policy and an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bard College.

Travis supports BSR member companies across various industries, focusing on sustainability management and climate change.

Prior to joining BSR, Travis was a Climate Corps Fellow with the City of San Rafael, where he helped the City advance its Zero Waste goals and develop a plan for creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient local economy. Previously, he worked at the Center for Food Innovation and Entrepreneurship where he performed research funded by WWF in the areas of on-farm food loss and produce donation.

Travis holds a MS in the emerging field of Biomimicry from Arizona State University and a BS in Environmental Science from Santa Clara University.

Lizzie supports BSR’s climate and sustainability work across industries with a primary focus on climate change, climate justice, and collaboration. She has also supported BSR’s Collaborative Initiatives portfolio, facilitating the development and implementation of impactful multi-stakeholder solutions that tackle systemic challenges to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Prior to joining BSR, Lizzie worked at Sephora on its social impact and sustainability teams. Lizzie has also accrued a range of relevant experience from work with the US Mission to the EU; with Reconsidered, an environmental and social impact consultancy; and with Hope of Children and Women NGO in Uganda, an initiative that equips refugees with marketable skills through job training programs and entrepreneurial initiatives.

Lizzie holds a BA in Contemporary European Studies and Sustainability Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is fluent in English and German and is proficient in French and Swiss German.

Cameron works to convene multinational corporations interested in utilizing collaborations and partnerships to advance industry solutions related to decarbonization, emissions tracking and reduction, and catalyzing climate solutions. He currently manages the Business Alliance to Scale Climate Solutions (BASCS), Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance (SFBA), and Sustainable Air Freight Alliance (SAFA). Cameron also consults on projects related to transportation, climate and Scope 3 emissions, and equity, inclusion, and justice.

Cameron joined BSR as an Associate on the Transport and Green Freight team, where he helped lead multiple collaborative initiatives, including Clean Cargo, SAFA, and Future of Fuels. He also conducted research and consulted on projects across BSR’s areas of expertise.

Prior to joining BSR, Cameron worked with the Port of Stockton on port modernization, the Blue Economy, and low- and zero-emission fuels. He also worked with the Naval Postgraduate School, Ocean Conservancy, and the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES).

Cameron has a MA in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of South Carolina. He speaks English and Spanish.
