Gracie works within the Government and Foundations team, in collaboration with the various areas of expertise, to support BSR’s pursuit of high-impact grants through opportunity identification, proposal and budget development, and research on funding trends to acceerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

Prior to joining BSR, Gracie worked in the environmental and international development space to promote sustainability and climate resilience—specifically around forest risk commodities—through market incentives. Primarily, her role focused on grant management and monitoring and evaluation. Gracie has also held positions within various multinational corporations in the transportation, banking, retail, and healthcare industries, among others, where she consulted on, developed, and implemented corporate social responsibility strategies. Gracie has worked both domestically and in the field in countries including Austria and, more recently, within the informal settlements in Nairobi, Kenya, where she assessed water access and delivery to inform a leading engineering company’s global sustainability strategy.

Gracie has a M.A. in International Development Studies with specializations in corporate social responsibility and climate/environment as well as a B.A. in International Affairs with concentrations in international environmental science and conflict resolution, both from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University.
