Following the launch of the WageMap Living Wage Reference Standard at last year’s UN Forum on Business and Human Rights, WageMap returns to Geneva to preview the next major milestone: the initial WageMap platform.
One of the biggest challenges companies and other practitioners face when implementing living wages is navigating multiple estimates for the same location, often based on different methodologies and assumptions. Last year’s reference standard established a common framework for understanding what good living wage estimation looks like. This year, participants will see how WageMap is putting that work into practice after an initial pilot year of assessing ten living wage methodologies against the reference standard.
Join us for breakfast and an early look into a new public platform designed to help users identify available living wage estimates, understand how methodologies differ, and make more informed decisions about which data to use. Explore how WageMap can turn a fragmented living wage data landscape into a clearer and more practical resource for employers, suppliers, workers, and other stakeholders.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Preview the WageMap platform through a live demonstration showing how users can explore and compare living wage estimates.
- See how the Living Wage Reference Standard is being applied to create greater transparency and comparability across methodologies.
- Hear from corporate partners and practitioners about why credible, accessible living wage data matters for implementation.
- Discuss how WageMap can support companies and suppliers as they move from living wage commitments toward gap analysis and action.
- Learn about WageMap’s next phase and how stakeholders will benefit from using its data in the future.
Please note: This event is designed for representatives from large companies, non-profit organizations, government, and academic institutions. Capacity is limited. We cannot guarantee admittance and priority seating will be given to BSR members.
