Our Events

In a period marked by interlocking global crises, sustaining and advancing business respect for human rights—and ensuring effective remedy for harm—has become increasingly challenging.

From November 23–25, BSR will join representatives from government, international organizations, business, and civil society at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights to discuss how to accelerate implementation of the UN Guiding Principles in the face of these challenges and explore new opportunities for transformation.

The WageMap Platform Preview Breakfast

Join BSR and WageMap partners for an exclusive preview of the new WageMap platform, designed to make living wage estimates more transparent and comparable, helping companies to strengthen decision-making, and enable greater collaboration to close living wage gaps. This new platform offers a “benchmark of the benchmarks,” helping users understand how different estimates align with leading practice, compare methodologies, and make better informed decisions about living wage data.

Julie Dugard

Associate Director, Climate and Nature, BSR

Julie serves as Manager of BSR’s Climate team, where she brings over 10 years of experience in corporate sustainability and climate action and supports BSR members with their climate strategies.

After joining BSR in 2021, Julie worked on multiple projects helping companies implementing TCFD recommendations, conducting climate scenario analysis (for the tech, financial and insurance industry), accelerating Net Zero transition, implementing just transition approaches (extractive industry) and scope 3 strategies (consumer goods sector). Since 2023, Julie manages BSR grant-funded work dedicated to Climate Transition Plans.

Julie is also co-developing BSR’s work on alternative business models addressing the tension between business growth and sustainability targets.

Prior to joining BSR, Julie worked in Mazars’s sustainability services and risk practice, where she audited and advised companies on their ESG data and internal audit, control and risk approaches. During her time within Mazars, Julie also spent six months at the Mexico City office.

Julie holds a master’s degree in business from Kedge Business School and spent one semester at the University of Nottingham and another one at the University of Technology of Sydney. She speaks French, English, and Spanish.

Emma Giloth

Associate Director, Human Rights and Inclusive Business, BSR

Emma Giloth leads BSR's Living Wage practice. She works at the intersection of human rights; food, beverage, and agriculture; consumer marketing; and ethical supply chains.

Emma leads human rights impact and risk assessments, and guides companies on supply chain due diligence and responsible purchasing practices. As lead on BSR's Living Wage practice, she supports companies to activate and manage their Living Wage programs for their owned operations and to build strategies to ensure workers across their supply chains are paid sufficiently.

Prior to BSR, Emma worked in the consumer-packaged goods industry, where she specialized in ethical sourcing of climate-smart ingredients from farmers. A social entrepreneur at heart, she previously co-founded a sustainable natural products brand in Senegal, and continues to work as an advisor to several African brands.

Indiana Vieljeux

Associate Director, BSR

Indiana supports BSR’s consumer sectors practice globally and is involved in supply chain sustainability projects, focusing on the development and implementation of sustainable sourcing strategies for companies. Indiana is managing the Responsible Luxury Initiative and used to manage the Southeast Asia Reptile Conservation Alliance (SARCA).

Indiana started with BSR as a Communications Associate to provide event, content, marketing, and digital support to BSR staff and projects. She also served as the Communications Coordinator for several BSR collaborative initiatives. Prior to BSR, Indiana created and co-launched FoodCloud, an organization focusing on food waste reduction by connecting supermarkets and restaurants with surplus food to organizations and charities that distribute food. Indiana is French and has lived in four countries. She is a French native speaker and speaks English and Spanish fluently.

Indiana holds a B.A. in Business and Spanish from Trinity College Dublin and a Master in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management.

Richard Wingfield

Managing Director, Responsible Tech, BSR

Richard leads BSR's Responsible Technology team and portfolio, working with companies across sectors to take a responsible approach to the design, development, use, and governance of technology, aligning innovation with international human rights and environmental standards.

He brings deep expertise on the relationship between technology and society, with a particular focus on translating international human rights law and standards into practical approaches for the development and governance of AI and other emerging technologies. He has supported companies with human rights due diligence of new technologies and high-risk markets, the development of AI governance, and impact and risk assessments.

Drawing on his background as a practicing lawyer, Richard has particular experience helping companies understand and address the impacts of emerging technologies while navigating evolving regulatory requirements. He has worked with many companies undertaking risk assessments required under the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act.

Prior to joining BSR, Richard led the legal and policy team at Global Partners Digital, an international human rights organization focused on the impacts of digital technologies on human rights.

Richard holds an LLB in Law and European Law from the University of Nottingham and is a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
