Determined by the interaction of systems, norms, and values, an ethical organizational culture is a complex business challenge.

A new BSR working paper sets forth that businesses should focus on systems thinking and group dynamics theory to build an ethical culture. The paper is based on a series of 23 confidential interviews with ethics experts, research into a wide range of academic theories, and BSR's long experience consulting with large corporates on strategy, risk, ethics, and sustainability. Defining what an ethical culture looks like, the paper explores five levels at which business can build one: at the individual, interpersonal, group, intergroup, and inter-organizational level.

Let’s talk about how BSR can help you to transform your business and achieve your sustainability goals.
