Companies increasingly recognize the environmental risks affecting their business. Many have established targets, strategies, and risk assessments, but translating these into operational decisions, investments, and measurable outcomes that reduce risk and capture business opportunity remains challenging.

Amid evolving expectations, policy uncertainty, constrained resources, and growing pressure to demonstrate business value, sustainability practitioners need practical solutions that work within their organizations and value chains.

The Climate and Nature Working Group is designed to help its members:

Accelerate implementation through practical approaches to overcoming barriers and unlocking climate and nature action
Exchange timely, candid experiences, tested approaches, and lessons learned with peers and experts in a confidential forum
Strengthen business decisions by connecting environmental priorities with governance, investment, procurement, and business value
Access timely perspectives from BSR experts, external practitioners, and standard setters on evolving expectations, approaches, and shifting regulations
Identify opportunities to address shared challenges that companies cannot solve alone, and shape new partnerships

How We Work

The Climate and Nature Working Group combines focused learning, confidential peer problem-solving, and targeted expert insights across two main workstreams during a minimum of eight virtual sessions.

Workstreams:

  • From target refresh to credible delivery
  • Translating climate and nature risk assessments into governance, investment, and resilience decisions

Companies will bring real implementation challenges, approaches and—where appropriate—tools or materials they are willing to share. BSR will curate each session, facilitate candid exchange, bring in targeted BSR or external expertise, and synthesize practical lessons.

Virtual workstream sessions will be complemented by three optional in-person convenings during Singapore’s Ecosperity; London Climate Action Week and Climate Week NYC.
