Job Description

The Johnson & Johnson Law Department is recruiting for a Worldwide Specialist, Corporate Governance, to be located in New Brunswick, NJ. This position reports to the Worldwide Senior Director, Corporate Governance & Strategic Operations. The job requisition ID is 7379160928.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

  • Lead project management for the annual Citizenship & Sustainability (C&S) Annual Report, including helping to oversee external and internal audit
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on the content collection, drafting, and review and approval process
  • Oversee the 2020 Goal dashboard
  • Work across regions and departments to assess accuracy and completeness of data
  • Lead efforts for ongoing data collection analysis, reports and presentations
  • Measure our C&S strategy and metrics against external benchmarking data
  • Support development of relevant assets, including video, graphic design, and photography
  • Work with Senior Director to manage agency and consultant resources
  • Work with Senior Director to maintain budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, in a related field preferred and Master’s degree a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience managing large / complex databases a plus
  • At least 6 years relevant experience is required (we consider internships as relevant experience), international experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of the global sustainability landscape is required, as well as understanding other ESG key issues and best practices, along with knowledge of the roles in the private, non-profit and public sectors with expertise in the latest trends, industry research and regulations relating to corporate sustainability and ESG
  • Has knowledge of sustainability tools, standards, and reporting initiatives, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), life-cycle analysis, energy management, etc.
  • Can read, analyze, use, and structure data from reports using the GRI G4, GRI-Reference as well as NON-GRI corporate and institutional reports is required
  • Familiarity with UNGC, UNSDGs, IIRC, and SASB a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with a client service focus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Must be able to work independently; must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail & analysis (with reporting experience as a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually and with others and accommodate global time zones; ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships is key
  • Ability to think quickly, produce deliverables in a timely manner, respond to changing demands, anticipate future problems, and recommend preventive courses of action
  • Intellectually curious, with a track record of demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and apply knowledge to develop new and creative solutions
  • Demonstrates judgment in decision making on issues impacting corporate reputation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint is required
  • Expertise in digital with strong ability to manage digital agency partners is required
  • Experience with corporate foundation/citizenship communications is a plus
