Senior Program Manager

Job Description

(1) Strategic development and new service implementation

  • Ensure that GFA is operating with a relevant strategic plan, the strategic plan is converted into actions to accomplish the plan and progress against the plan is monitored.
  • Work with the Senior Management and bodies that are authorized by the Senior Management (e.g. working groups), to develop new programs and services and ensure program quality and consistency with organizational goals. Program implementation, workshops, annual conference, publications, website, advocacy, and endorsed service provider arrangements.

(2) Membership growth and stakeholder management, incl. donors

  • Plan and execute strategies for prospect member recruitment and donor cultivation.
  • Develop and nurture positive and relevant community partnerships. Promote a positive image of GFA. Public presentations, as needed and requested, for public relations, education, and fundraising.
  • Serve as liaison to members and funders of GFA. Writing of grant proposals and required reports to funding sources.

(3) Organization and reporting

  • Keep Senior Management fully informed on the conditions of GFA and the environment in which it operates so that it can carry out its governance function in pro-actively planning for the future and assuring organizational stability.
  • Ensure fiscal, statutory, contractual and budgetary integrity and accountability incl. the annual audit process.
  • Prepare and organize Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, and Extraordinary General Meetings in collaboration with GFA’s corporate secretary.

(4) Operation and administration

  • Ensure that GFA’s existing services are delivered according to GFA’s guidelines (e.g. GFA Label, GFA Training) and manage GFA’s external partners in this regard.
  • Keep GFA’s data bases up-to-date

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

The GFA Senior Program Manager will have:

  • An understanding, affinity, and a passion for and commitment to the mission of GFA
  • Understanding of logistic processes, supply chain management and related environmental sustainability aspects/ carbon emission reporting
  • A minimum 5 years of management/ business development experience
  • The ability to link strategy with implementation and vision with outcomes
  • Strong finance/ accounting capabilities
  • A talent for managing successfully in a collaborative culture while dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Language skills: fluent in English; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage in view of business communications
