JOIN US AS A MATERIALITY & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT LEAD
Ensure Target’s CSR strategy addresses material issues to Target’s business. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to generate ongoing dialogue and enhance cross company and cross-sector collaboration to deliver on Target’s CSR strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Drive materiality approach and issue analysis; establish and drive issue prioritization approach across the CSR team and internal partners
- Represent CSR on enterprise risk and reputation cross-functional teams and during crisis management activations
- Provide CSR point of view to the enterprise and incorporate the enterprise risk view into the CSR strategy and appropriate teams
- Facilitate and coordinate an internal CSR Executive Advisory Council that will help align leadership on our short- and long-term issues, aspirations and initiatives
- Develop a stakeholder engagement strategy to manage, coordinate, and maintain visibility to all stakeholder engagement activity across the CSR team and Target’s most material issues
- Develop a common approach to stakeholder engagement for CSR in collaboration with the CSR leadership team
- Build and manage strategic relationships to identify and validate priority issues that can help future-proof the company
- Coordinate and facilitate an External Advisory Council to gather ongoing insights about Target’s aspirations, commitments and impact
- Lead SRI and general shareholder responses, including surveys (from investors, regulators, customers/vendors and activist NGOs), on behalf of CSR
- Provide context, content and strategic input on material issues for the CSR Report
Requirements
- B.A (4 years)
- 7-9 years of business experience or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of the SRI, activist, influencer, and regulator communities
- Strong knowledge of social and environmental issues and stakeholder landscapes
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven problem solving, critical thinking, analytical and out-side of the box thinking skills - connecting dots and translating ideas into action
- Strong ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels and lead cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to collaborate and engage with external partners (e.g., investors, regulators, NGOs and other business organizations)
- Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks, with the ability to think about the pros/cons of each and how they intersect
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, planning, and project management experience and ability to work independently, including the ability to multi-task and manage demands and/or projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills and good team player
Desired Requirements
- Advanced degree in business or related field
- MBA or Master’s degree in communications public policy or sustainability
- Management experience in business, consulting, government or NGO organizations
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills
- Communications and stakeholder engagement experience
