Licensee Compliance Lead Specialist

Job Description

This position will oversee implementation of the New Balance (NB) social and environmental Licensee Compliance Program for all national and international company (e.g., NB, Warrior, and Brine brands) licensees and distributors, as part of NB’s global supply chain compliance program.

The Licensee Compliance Lead Specialist will partner with cross-functional business heads to champion and implement an NB strategy and road map to improve licensee social and environmental compliance across the business supply chain. This position is also responsible for managing the relationships, communications and training of NB licensees related to NB social and environmental compliance requirements and managing the contracts and relationships with all related service providers. The Licensee Compliance Lead Specialist will also support, as appropriate, broader department initiatives designed to meet NB global supply chain compliance strategic goals, as well as conduct research and benchmarking on leading practices in licensee/supplier compliance management.

Qualifications

  • A degree in relevant course of study (Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Relations); preferred advanced degree in related field
  • Exceptional program management and organizational skills; prior experience in supply chain sustainability or supplier compliance strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing programs of increasing complexity; international experience strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural relationship skills; ability to relate to, understand, and work with diverse individuals across business units and geographies, ranging from sales executives to product testing experts to small and medium-sized licensees
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to analyze data sets and new information and define meaningful KPIs quickly to drive decision-making
  • Business acumen, ability to work in a nuanced cross-functional environment, and interpersonal savvy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good presentation and communication skills to large and small audiences
  • Results-driven team player with integrity, trust, perseverance, and patience
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically (15 – 25%)
  • Preferred foreign language skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin or other Asian language)
