The Opportunity

Adobe has a reputation for ESG innovation, impact and leadership. We are looking for a professional to continue building Adobe’s business and brand value through driving our ESG strategy. With deep ESG knowledge and proven experience, you will collaborate with key partners to define and advance a strategic vision, lead company-wide integration, and deliver continuous improvement in ESG-related programs, policies and external reporting.

What you’ll Do

  • Help lead programs and initiatives to continue advancing Adobe’s near-term and long-range CSR and ESG vision and strategy in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Serve as Adobe’s resident ESG expert, managing a portfolio of partners (including executives) to identify business opportunities for social and environmental impact and set public-facing performance targets.
  • Conduct trend and risk analysis, competitive benchmarking and horizon scanning to understand key partner expectations across the dynamic ESG landscape and evaluate the company’s performance against industry best-practices, and advocate for new strategies.
  • Assess Adobe’s approach to annual financial, CSR and other related reports (e.g., D&I) and explore potential strategy recommendations for optimizing alignment and/or evolving the approach in accordance with leading industry best-practices.
  • Lead the development of Adobe’s CSR report and other relevant reporting as needed.
  • Prepare semi-annual Board of Directors Governance & Sustainability Committee ESG reports, including ranking & ratings dashboards and articulation of the greatest areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Lead a comprehensive ESG ratings and rankings strategy to prioritize agencies for active engagement (e.g., S&P Global, ISS, MSCI, JUST Capital, etc.) and be responsible for Adobe’s reporting submissions to maintain and build upon current leadership standings.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and others as appropriate to ensure best-practice incorporation of ESG content into Adobe annual disclosures such as the Proxy, Annual CSR Report, 10K, CEO Shareholder Letter, etc.
  • Explore/identify potential solutions for streamlined operations related to cross-company ESG data collection, validation and benchmarking against targets and objectives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of internal and external sites and responses to Adobe customers’ CSR and ESG related data requests and RFPs.

What you need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in ESG and/or environmental sustainability reporting
  • Proven success in developing a successful ESG strategy in a high-growth company
  • Deep knowledge of ESG topics, framework knowledge and industry trends
  • Ability to bring people together around a common goal and lead by influence
  • Highly-skilled in data analysis and building thoughtful and efficient cross-functional processes
  • Strong communications skills and ability to present to both internal and external audiences
  • Bachelors’ degree required, advanced degree a plus
