Our Impact:
- Develop, manage and implement a cross-company corporate sustainability strategy and roadmap
- Identify related risks and opportunities for the company and its divisions
- Collaborate across divisions to plan, manage and implement aligned programs, initiatives and policies
- Responsible for sustainability reporting; standard alignment, review process, content gathering and data
- Responsible for sustainability communications; plan, websites and messaging
- Manage ESG ratings; build relationships with analysts, SME on methodologies, perform analysis and respond

Your Impact:
Strategy and Communications
- Thought leader in the development and management of the sustainability strategy (themes, goals, metrics, data) and roadmap
- Develop strong relationships with key leaders and SMEs in each division, particularly in Single Family, Multifamily, Finance, Enterprise Risk
Management and Communications
- Partner closely with the divisions to identify related risks and opportunities, and support or drive implementation of related initiatives (e.g. develop or modify business strategy/offerings, policy/procedures, research/analysis and business cases)
- Partner with the corporate communications team to manage and develop the communications plan, internal and external messaging, website content and related materials/tools/events
- Develop Board and senior management content and deliver presentations as applicable
- Onboard, partner and manage third parties (e.g. consultancies, service providers) as applicable
- Present and engage with divisions, seller/servicers, investors and other third parties as applicable
- Research and understand related market trends and expectations, particularly for investors
- Ad hoc travel to engage with partners, investors and participate in conferences and industry events
Reporting and Ratings
- Lead the ESG Reporting team; manage the end-to-end schedule, review process, tools and resources
- Build strong relationships with ESG rating agencies; analyze reports to inform strategy and roadmap, prepare and provide responses, understand methodologies, communicate insights to others
- Identify reporting data needs aligned to industry expectations, procure data and improve data quality
- Provide SME input to business divisions in developing related reporting to ensure alignment with corporate-level
sustainability reporting
- Monitor ESG ratings and sustainability components of credit rating agency ratings
Qualifications
- 8+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Master’s degree or equivalent years of experience is a plus
- Proven ability to lead, plan and implement sustainability strategies, reporting and initiatives
- Proven ability to build relationships, partner with multi-functional teams and influence others
- Experience implementing and aligning to SASB, GRI and TCFD
- Experience with ESG rating agencies and data providers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiar with ICMA Green/Social/Sustainability Bond Principles is a plus
- Experience at an ESG market leader is a plus
- Familiar with sustainability strategies, market trends, investor focus areas and organizations are a plus
- Experience developing content and presenting to the Board and senior management is a plus
- Experience working with suppliers and others in the value chain outside of the company is a plus
- Familiar with UN SDGs/PRI/EP and EU NFRD/EeMAP is a plus
- Experience or familiarity with Freddie Mac (e.g. mission, businesses and capital markets execution) or GSEs is a plus
- Experience or familiarity with housing, finance or insurance industries is a plus
