About the position

The Consultant will work closely with Client Directors to serve clients and develop compelling communications and sound strategy. Consultants are the core of our company, and have the opportunity to contribute to and even lead client engagements. This is an ideal opportunity for a hard-working and experienced individual with a passion for sustainability to work with a team of sustainability professionals and leading corporations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainability Reporting – Devise, plan and write corporate sustainability reports and other sustainability communications for multinational clients.
  • Communications Strategy – Help devise and implement internal and external sustainability communications strategies for clients, using all media. In particular, the Consultant should have experience with creative and digital communications and be ready to contribute to these types of projects.
  • Sustainability Strategy – Offer clear, well thought out advice to clients on a range of strategy projects including materiality assessments and goal-setting. Conduct benchmark research, deliver trends-based insights and establish best-practices
  • Client Management – Support Client Directors and Project Managers to facilitate excellent client relationships and deliver superior work. Depending on scope, there is opportunity for Consultants to lead client engagements.
  • Project Management – Manage project timelines, budgets and action plans in support of the team.
  • Business Development – Identify new business opportunities, contribute to proposal development and pitching Context to potential clients.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience required with previous experience working in the corporate sustainability/CSR field and/or agency/public relations preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree ideally in a related discipline (e.g. communications, business, environmental studies, policy, media studies); master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; an ability to write clearly in U.S. English under strict time constraints.
  • A passion for sustainability and a desire to be fluent in the full range of corporate sustainability issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • A keen interest in business and an understanding of the corporate world.
  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working collaboratively as they are driving forward personal projects and deadlines.
  • An outgoing personality with a knack for relationship building and passion for client service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A full understanding of digital communications and social media.
  • Authorized to work in the United States for at least 5 years.
