We’ll look to you to provide a high level of leadership and communications expertise to amplify our environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across the globe. We’ll look to you to play a key role in advancing Western Union’s positioning, especially our key ESG focus issues – diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); integrity of global money movement; and economic prosperity – to help generate awareness of Western Union’s ESG efforts.

We will look to you to develop our overall corporate ESG communications strategy and drive announcements related to ESG, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. You’ll engage regularly with the media and partners, develop communications content, manage events, and provide regular communications support to internal stakeholders while collaborating effectively across multiple areas of our business. You’ll also provide support for the broader ESG program by developing content for our annual ESG report, supporting ESG disclosures and awards submissions, and leading outreach to key ESG stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, we are highly interested in candidates with leadership experience within the corporate communications domain, including media relations, executive communications, internal communications and ESG storytelling. Experience in, ESG, corporate responsibility, corporate affairs, DEI, financial inclusion, and/or sustainability is highly desirable. This type of role will typically require 10 or more years experience, 2 or more of which should be at a leadership level (managing employees is not required). A university degree or higher is nice, but by no means necessary.
