Current Funders

British Consulate, Guangzhou, China

With support from the British Government Strategic Programme Fund on Low Carbon High Growth in Guangzhou, China, we are working with the Guangdong Energy Conservation Center (GDECC) to build the capacity of 25 of the Top 1000 enterprises in Guangdong to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy intensity per unit of production.

John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation

We're working with the MacArthur Foundation's Global Migration and Human Mobility Program to advocate for the rights of international labor migrants via private sector engagement.

Levi Strauss Foundation

We work with the Levi Strauss Foundation on a variety of factory worker engagement initiatives; most recently, a convening to foster innovation and collaboration in worker rights and responsibilities programs. LSF is also a major supporter of HERproject, BSR’s women’s health initiative.

Rockefeller Brothers Fund

We work with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund on a project to lead research, training, and advocacy efforts that build capacity at the intersection of water and environmental health, leveraging two existing BSR projects to enhance impact: China Training Initiative (CTI) and HERproject.

Rockefeller Foundation

We recently worked with the Rockefeller Foundation to explore China's rising influence in Africa.

Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency

With generous support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, BSR is working to expand HERproject—a factory-based women's health initiative in China, Egypt, India, Pakistan, and Vietnam, and launch new initiatives in Bangladesh and East Africa.

U.S. Agency for International Development - Global Development Alliance (GDA)

We work with the Office of the GDA on a project to assess the efficacy and impact of public-private partnerships.

U.S. Department of State

We work with the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the State Department on projects in Central America, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and China that further the rule of law and enhance economic competitiveness.
