Marcela Pinilla

Marcela advises financial services firms on ESG integration and impact investing.

With over 10 years of experience in the sustainable investment industry, Marcela has a strong background in the analysis and integration of ESG risks, opportunities, and impacts into investment decision-making. She has worked at Walden Asset Management, a division of Boston Trust & Investment Management Company, Mercy Investments, and CBIS. In those roles, she led primary ESG research and integration processes, worked with companies across sectors to improve sustainability performance, and advised clients on integrating ESG objectives into their portfolios.

Marcela possesses cross-sectoral expertise in climate change, water risk, and food systems and supply chain sustainability. In her consulting capacity, she has served clients in managing performance, strategy, and reporting on ESG-related objectives. She speaks Spanish and English.

Marcela earned a B.A. in Psychology from American University and an M.S. in International Health Policy and Management and M.B.A. focused on Sustainable Development from Brandeis University.
