The MACN Impact Report 2016 provides an overview of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN)’s activities and impacts over the past five years, reflecting in particular on MACN's progress against the 10-Point Plan of 2014. In Nigeria, Indonesia, Egypt, and Argentina, MACN has pursued collective actions that have resulted in tangible outcomes and long-term impacts, including the passing of new legislation (in Argentina), a decrease in waiting times, and a decrease in demands. Elsewhere, MACN has helped to strengthen the policies and processes of its members to empower captains to say no to demands.

The report also outlines the new 2020 Strategy for MACN, which is designed to deepen MACN’s approach and ensure that the network remains relevant and faithful to its members, funders, and vision. MACN’s unique value proposition and most meaningful impacts will continue to stem from actions that improve both internal procedures and the operating environment. The 2020 Strategy therefore involves a focus on three areas: capability building, collective action, and a culture of integrity.

Let’s talk about how BSR can help you to transform your business and achieve your sustainability goals.
