With over a billion workers now estimated to earn less than a living wage worldwide, building a global movement has never been more critical. This year’s UNGA offers a unique opportunity to gather champions of the living wage for an evening of insight, inspiration and, of course, refreshment. Please do join us as we celebrate the launch of the WageMap consortium comprising BSR, Living Wage Foundation, Living Wage For US, Loughborough University Centre for Research in Social Policy, NewForesight, and WageIndicator Foundation. This collaboration of living wage organizations is being created to tackle these issues and meet the growing demand for accurate and consistent Living Wage data. Through collaborative research and advocacy, WageMap aims to create alignment across the global Living Wage research and data community.
During the evening, you will hear briefly from experts including Living Wage Foundation, Living Wage for US, WageMap and employers committed to paying a real living wage. There will be plenty of time for networking and finding out more about what you can do to support the movement.
