Join BSR for a breakfast event on how to integrate global sustainability strategies at the local level.
Companies are increasingly focused on “globalizing” their sustainability strategies and programs and, in many cases, developing more localized components. This process can ensure alignment across the organization and help global headquarters take into account important local context, risks, and opportunities. However, the process also presents certain challenges and questions, such as: Where and how do I to begin? Which individuals should be involved? How much should I adjust to the local context? What types of benefits have other companies experienced by developing localized strategies?
Presenters from BSR’s member companies will share insights and provide examples of how they are currently succeeding in surfacing local-level priorities, decentralizing sustainability leadership, and engaging with a more diverse set of internal and external local stakeholders.
The agenda will feature:
- Presentations from BSR and member companies on local materiality, framing a sustainability strategy across the value chain, asset level programs and activities, and more.
- An interactive session designed as a group brainstorm
- Open Q&A with leaders in global/local strategy
- Light breakfast and informal networking
