BSR is hosting a breakfast to discuss the largest-ever study of climate data from suppliers and their corporate customers, and to explore how the findings can help companies improve climate performance in supply chains.
Following the Paris Agreement on climate change, companies are seeking ways to build climate resilience in their supply chains, which can represent up to four times the greenhouse gas emissions of a company’s direct operations. To address this need, BSR and CDP have translated the climate information submitted by over 4,000 suppliers into a set of best practices to improve supplier climate performance and build a path to better management of climate risks.
Presenters will share insights from BSR research and innovative corporate practices on this topic, and will lead participants in an interactive discussion of the following questions:
- What are the business benefits of climate disclosure, and of encouraging suppliers to track and report climate performance?
- How can companies design more effective management approaches to building climate resilience in the supply chain?
- How can companies improve the climate performance of their suppliers?
We hope you will join us, our partners at CDP, and BSR member companies to explore these questions. The event will provide an intimate setting to share ideas with and meet peers in the BSR network.
