ESG Scenarios Workshop: Leading Sustainability in a New Context

By Invitation Only

Mandatory ESG reporting, scrutiny over "greenwashing," partisanship over "ESG", economic uncertainty—it’s a challenging time to lead sustainability at a company. Yet the relevance of sustainability risks and opportunities—and the imperatives to address global challenges—are more vital than ever. At BSR we hear stories from our members every day that illustrate both that ambition remains high, and that increased scrutiny is reshaping context.

BSR is pleased to invite a small number of sustainability and ESG leads to an interactive workshop.

During the session we will:

  • Review relevant trends and discuss implications
  • Consider scenarios built in conjunction with our Sustainable Futures Lab on the short- and medium- term future of corporate sustainability in the context of increased regulatory activity, polarization of ESG, the macroeconomic context, state/national/global shifts on ESG, and stakeholder expectations
  • Identify actions you can take to steer their teams and companies through the potential scenarios

Throughout, you and your peers will consider topics such as:

  • Setting an aspirational vision amid increasing scrutiny of communications and obligatory commitments
  • Addressing the expectations of more vocal advocates, employees, and investors
  • Engaging with boards and executives
  • Navigating divergent global regulatory requirements and changing standards
  • Maintaining momentum in the face of economic uncertainty and “anti-ESG” pressures
  • This event will be chaired by senior leaders from BSR, and external speakers to enrich the discussion.

The scenarios workshop will be preceded by a networking lunch.

This event is invitation-only, though we encourage you to suggest to BSR other senior-level peers in your region who may be interested.
