Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Tech Industry: How High-Growth Companies Can Lead the Change

While studies continue to show that diverse and inclusive teams provide many business benefits, technology companies big and small still struggle with creating a workforce where employees enjoy equitable opportunities in a welcoming environment. Additionally, the pandemic has put a spotlight on how companies are addressing the “S” in corporate ESG issues, including a range of interconnected diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) priorities.

How can younger, high-growth technology companies and the collective industry, including both older and newer players, improve approaches to creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive sector?  

This convening will bring together the BSR technology and DEI teams with high-growth technology companies to discuss:

• The current landscape of DEI in the technology sector, and opportunities and risks related to the pandemic
• Collective and individual company opportunities to realize DEI in the technology industry
• Examples of DEI practices and governance as a business grows from a private start-up to a public multi-national company
