With the recent drive for Ethiopia to become a more prominent player in the global apparel industry, stakeholders agree on the importance of embedding responsible and sustainable business conduct from the beginning. In the coming year, thousands of jobs in apparel factories will be filled by women—many of them joining the formal workforce for the first time.
