Paul Polman, co-author of Net Positive and vice chair of UN Global Compact, recently commented on the global response to Ukraine, and said the unthinkable for a capitalist economy—that “it is not a moment to think about increasing market share. Nobody wanted this war but now we must use it to find each other, and to deepen our commitment to working together on the challenges none of us can solve alone.” James Baldwin, American writer and rights activist, said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
What should we use this moment for? Amid a health crisis, the trauma of social injustices, climate disasters, what does resilience look like, feel like? How do we align human value with our business operations and corporate policy?
We invite you to exercise your muscle of imagination with our community of business leaders to explore our “What If?” and ways to make the seemingly impossible possible. In a world filled with so many things that are out of our control, how do we turn our passion and commitment to equity, inclusion, and justice into a joyful enterprise that makes companies, industries and our communities future fit for best outcomes.
