Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
The role of the Responsible Procurement manager will be to build, drive, and manage our sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement supplier engagement program. The aim of this role is to help meet our corporate sustainability goals for the science-based target initiative and our overarching Net Zero target in a sustainable and responsible manner.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Sourcing Manager of Responsible Procurement while supporting and working closely with our ESG team and Sustainability team.
The role involves developing and executing strategies for the responsible supplier engagement program to engage and improve the environmental performance of suppliers and reduce the carbon footprint of our company’s supply base. Additionally, the role will help develop and support the company’s supplier diversity and sustainability risk programs.
Support execution of sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement best practices. Drive stakeholder accountability for supplier selection, based on sourcing objectives through the addition of sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement best practices.
- Be point of contact for the Global Sourcing team across sourcing categories and ESG reporting needs for sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement.
- Drive the strategy and implementation of sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement programs and integrate into our sourcing processes.
- Develop plan to address risk, supplier diversity and sustainability across key categories.
- Develop engagement strategy for suppliers.
- Support our suppliers to continually improve social and environmental performance and meet targets across key sustainability themes, with a particular focus on accelerating progress to net zero and meeting our responsible procurement targets.
- Develop and manage training for suppliers to improve their sustainability efforts.
- Work with business partners in identifying supplier partnerships through activities such as implementing alternative suppliers, alternative hardware/software/services and category innovation to meet net zero
- Embed sustainability sourcing requirements across policies and standards, RFP’s and contracts where needed.
- Develop, manage and monitor the use of appropriate Responsible Procurement KPI’s utilizing dashboards and scorecards to measure and improve the effectiveness of the key elements of the sourcing organization.
- Educate and train sourcing managers to support program
- Operationalize development and implementation of responsible procurement data collection systems, tools, and processes, including CDP supply chain, EcoVadis and bespoke data collection options.
- Develop and manage sustainable supplier dashboards displaying supplier sustainability performance and overall program progress against KPIs driving program level reporting and scorecards,
- Create data forecasts to generate insights and improve sustainable sourcing performance.
- Evaluate suppliers nearing contract term and where applicable identify alternatives if current supplier does not meet minimum criteria
- Contribute to annual report for sustainable sourcing and responsible procurement metrics and KPI’s
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 5+ years and supply chain management or procurement, vendor management, or related field and/or sourcing,
- 3+ years experience in corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, GHG accounting
- Demonstrated ability to build and utilize effective data collection, management, and reporting infrastructure and processes
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and presentations that convey data effectively to inform strategy and decision-making
- Experience setting targets, identifying KPIs, and developing systems for tracking progress against them
- Experience integrating data across platforms.
- Experience with Sustainable sourcing and Procurement strategy and process transformation: including sustainability in sourcing, Sustainable supplier management and supply chain transparency.

For positions in California (outside of the Bay Area), we offer a base pay of $92,250 - $161,550, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
