Job Description

This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Program Office is part of U.S. Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Team and works to meet stakeholder expectations and set a strong standard amongst peers. The ESG Program Office team is responsible for delivering in three critical areas: (1) Enterprise-Wide ESG strategy, transformation, and integration (2) reporting and disclosures (3) external partnerships and engagement.

The ESG Governance & Operational Project Manager will assist the ESG Governance and Reporting Lead with workflow related to risk and vendor management. This role will also assist, as needed, with policies and governance around key ESG meetings and processes. The ESG Reporting & Governance Analyst will be responsible for identifying and documenting risk within the ESG program, as well as tracking progress to mitigate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage records within U.S. Bank’s risk management tracking system for the ESG program office and ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
  • Engage with 2nd and 3rd line risk partners to communicate and document new programs and/ or risks associated with current work.
  • Coordinate with internal partners on annual policy approvals that fall under the purview of the ESG Committee.
  • Stay informed on the changing landscape of ESG including emerging trends, stakeholder expectations, and rating/ranking criteria.
  • Benchmark and monitor trends to improve U.S. Bank’s ESG standing.
  • Assist with workflow and updates related to the annual SOX process.
  • Manage internal procurement process for new vendors, including requests for proposals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3 or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience working within the Workiva platform.
  • Experience with SOX level controls and documentation.
  • Understanding of external ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB and TCFD.
  • Well-developed reporting, oral written and communication skills.
  • Experience working across a large organization and with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Previous risk experience in a large organization.
  • Experience working within the Archer platform.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify gaps and opportunities within the ESG risk processes.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • High level of significant independent decision-making ability.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $99,365.00 - $116,900.00 - $128,590.00
