Katie advises companies and stakeholders on leveraging good jobs, providing access to products and services, and making community-informed investments to ensure that business contributes to and benefits from an inclusive economy.
Katie has also worked with clients on materiality assessments, women’s empowerment strategies, reporting benchmarks, supply chain risk assessments, and supplier codes and sourcing policies. She helped to launch the WEP’s Gender Gap Analysis Tool and has supported the Healthy Business Coalition, the Future of Internet Power, and Business Action for Women.
Prior to BSR, Katie worked at Urban Green Council, where she helped to green New York City’s building codes and launch a national green training program for construction professionals. Katie also previously lived in Guatemala City and worked for UPAVIM, a women’s artisan cooperative.
Katie holds an M.S. in Development Practice from U.C. Berkeley and a B.A. in Economics and Art and Art History from Bucknell University.
