Pinal works with companies to strengthen their sustainability management, address supply chain risks and opportunities, and take action on climate change. She works across sectors, with a particular focus on the healthcare industry, and her primary area of expertise is at the intersection of public health and the environment. Pinal also helps lead BSR’s Healthy Business Coalition, which works with companies to promote the health of their employees, customers, and communities.
Prior to joining BSR, Pinal was Director of Policy and Partnerships at the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, which focuses on the social determinants of health in the home, where she led the organization’s legislative, regulatory, and innovative financing efforts. Previously, she held roles at the Georgetown Climate Center, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (a division of the NIH), the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the US Environmental Protection Agency (Climate Protection Partnerships Division), and Ceres.
Pinal holds a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University, an M.P.H. from Boston University, and a B.A. in Political Science from Emory University.
