Jen is the Co-Director of the Center for Business and Social Justice. The Center will advance health and economic justice at the intersection of movements working toward greater societal equity and fairness. Among other activities, the Center will sustainably and intentionally connect leaders in movements with private sector allies, identify effective business practices, and provide cross-learning opportunities that inform private sector behavior change as well as systems change through improved public policy outcomes.
Jen is a strategy development and implementation expert at complex health and humanitarian organizations with 20+ years of experience. Prior to joining BSR, she directed investments at the Tara Health Foundation to advance meaningful change among private sector employers on gender and racial equity, including historic progress on paid family and medical leave, reproductive health, and other workplace protections. Prior to working in philanthropy, she led the disaster fundraising unit at American Red Cross, which included managing campaigns in response to earthquakes in Haiti and Japan as well as Hurricane Katrina. She also held leadership roles at several national advocacy organizations, where she led private sector and workplace engagement initiatives.
Jen holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is based in Washington, DC.
