In April, the European Commission adopted its proposal for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), replacing the Non-Financial Reporting Directive. Under the proposal, 55,000 companies will need to report on their sustainability risks and impact. The European Commission has asked the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) to develop a new EU sustainability reporting standard.
