#Supply Chain

Covid-19 has overwhelmingly impacted the business worldwide.  Stores have closed and factory production has paused and the impact on global supply chain has been devastating to certain sectors. China, as one of the top manufacturing destinations in the world, is no exception.   As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, and while much uncertain remains, one thing has become crystal clear:  the need to explore how to build a resilient supply chain.   As we absorb the learnings from COVID-19 our ability to build for the future after the crisis depends on our ability meet the moment while building longer-term resilience.

We are delighted to invite you to join a conversation in Chinese only with BSR and key informants to discuss the connections between resilient supply chain and climate change/worker engagement in China and what actions can be taken:

  • How are we managing the efforts of climate change to support a green recovery of our supply chain?
  • How can we best protect and support our workforce as we move beyond the immediate needs?
  • What are the key elements to include into climate change and worker engagement efforts to ensure a long-term interest of supply chain?
  • What companies can do to create a more resilient supply chain in the long-term?

Speakers

  • Hu Kehua, Director of Sustainability Stewardship, China National Textile and Apparel Council
  • Helix Lau, Manager, BSR
