Preparing for a New Era of Reporting Regulations: What Japanese Companies Operating Globally Need to Know

By Invitation Only

Sustainability reporting initiatives, which have progressed voluntarily until now, are entering a new phase. The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements were finalized with the adoption of the Omnibus Act in December 2025. In Japan, the Sustainability Standards Board of Japan (SSBJ) standards were published in March 2025, and disclosure obligations in securities reports are expected to begin phasing in from 2027 onwards. At the same time, other countries and regions are also advancing disclosure requirements based on the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) standards.

Join BSR sustainability reporting experts, who will help you to understand the EU's CSRD and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and provide an overview of Japan's disclosure system and reporting standards for securities reports. These insights will help your company to prepare to more efficiently and effectively advance its sustainability goals while complying with SSBJ, the CSRD, and disclosure obligations in various countries and regions.
