Scott serves on BSR's management team and leads its internal infrastructure, focusing on Finance, IT and HR. Scott has an extensive finance and operations background, including a former stint as BSR's Controller, but has also led multiple international field projects.
Most recently, Scott led one of the United States' largest corporate foundations as CFO at Blue Shield of California Foundation. Previously, he founded and acted as executive director of GreaterGoal, an international nonprofit that worked with underserved youth. Scott has significant international experience directing for-profit and non-profit projects on six continents, including in countries such as Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, South Africa, and Yemen. A sports enthusiast, Scott also worked as president and director of finance for a women's professional soccer team and in community relations for the 1996 Olympic games.
Scott holds B.A. degrees in Business and Communications from Wheaton College (IL) and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University. Scott currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee (BASOC). In 2012, Scott was featured on the cover of CFO magazine and was recognized by Ventana Research with the Chief Financial Officer Leadership Award.
