Manager, Advisory Services | ニューヨーク
Sarah supports BSR's growing health care practice with a focus on human rights, access to health, and supply chain, including the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative.
With more than 10 years of private sector experience as a lawyer, consultant, and sustainability advocate, Sarah joins BSR from the UN Global Compact, where she served as a business and human rights legal advisor. Prior to this, as an experienced consultant, project manager, and negotiator, Sarah worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, and the financial services firm AMP, where she led commercial negotiations with multinationals for strategic sourcing projects and served as a corporate social responsibility ambassador for the AMP Foundation. Sarah has also worked for some of the world's top law firms, Mallesons Stephens Jaques and Jones Day, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and information technology law transactions.
Beyond her private sector experience, Sarah also brings global expertise as a human rights lawyer and advocate. She served as a board member for the Australian Disability Discrimination Legal Center and as a legal officer for the United Nations, where she focused on the signing and ratification of the International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This, together with her background in information technology, has given her a particular interest in exploring the role of technology in facilitating the fulfillment of human rights and greater access to healthcare.
Sarah is also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University Law School, where she teaches "Corporate Sustainability, Transnational Business and Human Rights."
A native of Australia, Sarah holds a B.IT and J.D. from the University of Technology, Sydney, and an LL.M. from Columbia University, where she graduated a James Kent Scholar with the Parker School Certificate in International Law.
