Nate applies his experience connecting stakeholders and driving performance in the supply chain to consumer products, energy, and extractives companies. He advises mining companies on stakeholder engagement best practices, manages the Clean Cargo Working Group carbon emissions data collection and analysis process, and leads supply chain sustainability projects for consumer electronics companies with the Supplier Carbon Performance Initiative and the Center for Sustainable Procurement.
Previously he worked with Malk Sustainability Partners and led projects as an intern for Dow Chemical and Owens Corning on low-carbon fuel and energy efficiency products. He has more than nine years' experience in stakeholder engagement in the U.S. and in Latin America with the Peace Corps and speaks Spanish fluently.
Nate holds an M.B.A. and M.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Environmental Science from Willamette University. He shares insights on sustainability in business on Fast Company, GreenBiz.com, Twitter, and the BSR blog.
