With a background in international development and financial services, Matthew brings his experience with financial inclusion initiatives, CSR reporting, stakeholder engagement, and strategy to his work at BSR. Having spent time living and working in Latin America and Europe, Matthew brings a global perspective to his work at BSR and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He works with companies on a broad range of CSR projects, including stakeholder engagement, reporting, strategy, and supply chain sustainability.

Prior to joining BSR, Matthew completed a bilingual M.B.A. at IESE Business School in Barcelona. During this time, he made a decision to align his financial and business experience with social mission-driven work. He has worked in microfinance as a Kiva Fellow in Honduras and at the Inter-American Development Bank in structured and corporate financing. While pursuing his M.B.A., Matthew chaired a social investment competition at Doing Good Doing Well, Europe's largest student-run conference on responsible business, and was president of the IESE Net Impact Chapter. Matthew has also worked in finance as a financial analyst at Hewlett-Packard and then in financial services as an associate at Hall Capital Partners LLC in San Francisco.

Matthew holds a bilingual M.B.A. from IESE Business School and received a B.S. in economics and a B.S. in commerce (finance) from Santa Clara University. Matthew speaks English and Spanish.
